Organaization
This committee plays leadership role in strengthening the organization and system of the PRSJ and promoting interchange among the members. Specifically it deals with such organizational issues as the election of directors and auditors, strengthening of the financial structure, the membership system and the code of ethics. Moreover, the committee is responsible for the planning and implementation of PRSJ-sponsored events aimed at promoting interchange among the members (the New Year’s Party, deepen exchanges each members etc.) as well as overseas study tours aimed at promoting international exchange.

<Working Groups>
These Working Groups have been newly established in 2007. Each member will join in one of the following three working groups.

●Corporate Working Group
This Working Group carries out activities that benefit those members who are engaged in corporate PR programs. Basically the Working Group will develop knowledge through information collection, study and education with themes in which corporate PR staffers have common interest. At the same time the Working Group will build a network of people surpassing the boundaries of profession and industry.

●PR Practices Working Group
This Working Group conducts activities aimed at the development and fostering of PR professionals, expansion of the PR market and elevated social recognition of PR practices. Moreover, it will implement short-term measures (e.g., production of a PR firm index, opening of PR consulting offices, etc.) as well as mid- and long-term plans.

●Kansai Regional Working Group
This Working Group performs activities with the objectives of fostering PR staff members for firms located in Kansai (western Japan) and developing a network of PRSJ members. Its activities are centered on the core group that organizes various events including regular group meetings, basic study in public relations and PR School on a timely basis.


<Committees>
These committees are set up by the members belonging to one of the three Working Group. They are engaged in activities with focus on the issues and themes shared by all members.

●Organizing Committee

Moreover, the committee is responsible for the planning and implementation of PRSJ-sponsored events aimed at promoting interchange among the members (the New Year's Party, golf outings, etc.) as well as overseas study tours aimed at promoting international exchange.

The International Subcommittee organizes overseas training seminars. Interaction with PR associations in the United States and other countries is conducted to facilitate information sharing and networking within the global PR industry.

The PRSJ addresses international issues through the International Symposium and other internationally focused activities. PRSJ participates in the World Conference of the International Public Relations Association (IPRA), IPRA seminars and other PR overseas events.

●Educational Committee
This committee holds various training sessions and study group meetings that respond to the needs of PRSJ members for the advancement of publicity & PR techniques and theories as well as the fostering of publicity & PR staffers. Specifically, these include regular study meetings, publicity lecture for new staffers, PR University and Publicity Junior College.

●Publicity Committee
This committee plays the role of widely disseminating information on the PRSJ's activities aimed at achieving social recognition of publicity & PR as well as enhanced status of PR professionals. Specifically these activities cover the Japan RP Awards, publication of the PR Pocketbook, PRSJ Bulletin and PRSJ News, further development of the PRSJ's website and media relations.

●Certification Committee
In commemoration of the 25th anniversary of its foundation, the PRSJ has launched the PR Planner Certification System with the first certification test starting on September 1, 2007. This committee will conduct the first-, second- and third-category certifications tests, control the certification procedures and facilitate application for the tests, thereby contributing to the development of high caliber publicity & PR professionals.
